I’ve lived in Precinct 1 for more than 20 years. During which I’ve been on the Board of the Austin Project, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Child Inc and served as NAACP President for 7 years. Poverty and youth development are important to my campaign and I hope to address these issues on the Commissioners Court.  Please watch/share the video below!

I served for 7 years as the local NAACP President ('91-'97). Through my work we developed the Police Monitor's Office after the Cedar Avenue accident.

Community Policing is necessary and important. We have to build programs that bridge the gap between the police department and the people whom which they serve.

I serve as a Board Member for Child Inc. This is a nonprofit organization operating to provide low-income families with early childhood education, mental health services, disabilities services, nutritional services, medical and dental services, social services and parent engaged activities. The work they do is incredibly vital to our community.
