Commissioner Jeff Travillion

Jeff Travillion is an experienced leader serving on the Travis County Commissioners Court.

Before he was elected Commissioner, Jeff worked in state and city government for 30 years, specializing in turning around troubled departments. In 2016, he was elected to serve Precinct 1 (northeast Travis County) on the Travis County Commissioners Court and re-elected in 2020 and 2024. Jeff stands up for those residents most likely to be underserved in education, transportation, and healthcare.

“Precinct 1 is where my wife, Perri, and I raised our three children as part of a vibrant community. We served on youth sports boards, our kids were active in church youth groups, and as a family, we’ve long been advocates for public education. Our lives have been centered here. As a former president of the Austin NAACP, I fought to ensure no one was left out—and I bring that same commitment to my work as County Commissioners and chair of the CapMetro board.”
