Transportation

Travis County is in a transportation crisis. Jeff has worked to bring over 40 new mobility projects to Precinct 1 and will continue to make sure that we do not repeat the mistakes made in other parts of Travis County. Jeff will work to remove tolls from Hwy 130, increase mass transit options, and make sure that everyone in East and Northeast Travis County has reliable access to their work, school and health care.

Healthcare

Jeff will make sure that Precinct 1 receives the Health Care infrastructure that it needs. Jeff will work to expand access to community clinics and work closely with Central Health to guarantee that our community is not left out of their expansion of services. Jeff will ensure that all corners of Precinct 1 receive the same service when calling EMS as citizens who live in other parts of the county.

Quality of Life

Historically, East and Northeast Travis County have not received adequate attention — a majority of all Travis County landfills are in Precinct 1. Jeff will ensure that protections are in place to maintain our health and well-being and that the county is active in controlling flooding. He will also work to give families access to parks, clean water and open space.

Youth Development

Our youth must have early access to programs that help prevent the school-to-prison pipeline. Through early intervention, cost savings from the juvenile justice system can fund Title I school programs, such as homework centers and work-based learning opportunities. Building community policing relationships as an alternative to juvenile justice will also be a top priority.
